Michael CuneoBringing in more than 50% of the fan vote, Ashley football's Jackson Eller is the StarNews Athlete of the Week.
Eller made a splash in Week 2, throwing for a career-high six touchdowns on a nearly perfect 13 of 15 pass completions for 216 yards as the Screaming Eagles ran all over East Carteret.
Eller transferred to Ashley from New Hanover this offseason after tossing two touchdowns in seven appearances for the Wildcats. The senior QB has connected on 25 of his 28 passes for 316 yards and eight touchdowns through two games this fall.
The Screaming Eagles take on East Bladen in Week 3 with hopes of starting the season 3-0 for the first time in program history.
